Initial break down and pics (pre restoration)

This is the 470 Vanguard Hull #211 after a good amount of soft scrub and 1000 grit paper. It has a Gold anodized mast and ancient boom I am looking to replace. Sails are usable but old. Boards seem to be in good condition.





A few spots need some serious TLC that are going to require me to cut in a few inspection ports to repair properly.



First picture is of the port stern, second is of the starboard bow area near the deck-hull joint.

This is going to be a big project for me, but I'm looking forward too it! I'll update every few days with new pictures and info as to whats going on. Thanks for checking out the humble beginnings of my 470 project!
